Brian May wins a Sports Emmy
Brian May is one of the last people you would think of to be nominated for a Sports Emmy Award, much less winning one but, on Tuesday night in New York, he was one of a group of people who took home the award for Outstanding Open/Tease.
May was an Associate Producer on a remix of Queen's We Will Rock You that was used for Super Bowl XLVII. He did not attend the ceremony but will receive an award for his participation in creating the piece.
The Sports Emmy Awards are chosen by a blue ribbon panel from nominees that aired throughout calendar year 2013.
