Jenny McCarthy 'trusted dating process'
Jenny McCarthy 'trusted the process of dating' before becoming betrothed.
The 41-year-old The View co-host announced in April she and Donnie Wahlberg are engaged after dating since July of last year.
And although some may believe the couple's engagement came quickly, Jenny says she and Donnie made an effort to keep their courtship well-paced.
'We both trusted the process of dating and we didn't let stories take over," she told E! Online.
"I think a lot of times we get caught up in the fantasy of who we think somebody is and instead we trusted getting to know who each other are for real. So we paid attention to each other, we didn't make up things and Google each other. We just kind of trusted the spirit and still enjoyed the abs at the same time."
Jenny is madly in love with the 44-year-old former New Kids on the Block star and the star is amazed she has found the man of her dreams.
"It's still very new and shocking and exciting and I feel really lucky. I feel just blessed,' the model-and-actress gushed.
The couple recently opened up about their wedding plans, which are quite scarce at present. And even though Donnie has a reality show called Wahlburgers, the lovebirds know their nuptials will not be shown on the small screen.
'The revolution will not be televised, nor will this wedding I don't think," he told Entertainment Tonight in a joint interview with his wife-to-be.
"We don't know when. We''re kind of just floating in the ''I'm your fiance" kind of fun in it. There's no rush," Jenny added.
The wedding will be the second marriage for both stars. Donnie was married for nine years to Kim Fey until 2008 while Jenny had a six year marriage to John Mallory Asher which ended in 2005.
