Kelis: Everything I do is for son

Kelis: Everything I do is for son

Kelis has just been "struck" with the thought that everything she does will affect her son.
The 34-year-old singer has four-year-old son Knight with her ex-husband Nas, who she split from when she was pregnant. Being a mother has made her consider her own childhood and how lucky she was with her parents.
"I think about my mom and my dad, and the kind of parents that they were. They were great parents and they really nurtured [me]. I think that I am who I am because of how they loved [my three sisters and me]. How you associate every relationship in your life is from who your parents were," she told MTV News.
'Just being aware of it - it just kind of struck me one day - everything I do is gonna be who [Knight] is and how he loves and who he falls in love with.'
Knight appears briefly on Kelis' new record Food and she loved working with him. She is constantly surprised by the things he comes out with, especially when she has no idea where he's picked up words of phrases. More often than not the star is forced to admit the tot is very like her.
"I realise that he does certain things, and it makes me laugh, and I'm like, 'Who are you? Where'd you get that from?!' And then people will see him and they're like, 'He's so your child!' [And] I'm like, well then, that's where he gets it from - he just picks up everything," she laughed.
Although he is only young, Knight is completely aware of what his parents do for a living. He's been to shows and is even trying to learn guitar. Kelis will encourage him if he wants to test his musical ability more, but isn't sure following in her footsteps would be good for him.
"I'll also encourage him to work at whatever he's doing. Especially now, pushing the music thing," she told recently. "I want him to be musical because it's great. It's a great feeling, it's a great gift, but I don't know that I want him to do it for a living."

Duff is 'really good friends' with ex

Duff is 'really good friends' with ex

Hilary Duff is 'not in a rush for anything' to happen between her and estranged husband Mike Comrie.

The Lizzie McGuire actress announced her separation from Mike in January after three years of marriage. At the time the couple, who have two-year-old son Luca together, said it was an 'amicable separation' and that still seems to be the case according to the 26-year-old.

'We're really dedicated to taking care of Luca. We're really good friends and spend a lot of time together - and we're not in a rush for anything,' she told Life & Style magazine. 'We're just trying to enjoy our lives and figure out what makes us happy and it's working for us.'

Luca is still the main priority for the singer and actress and her ice hockey player ex-partner. But the star admitted there are still a lot of feelings there between the two of them.

'We do care a lot about each other," she explained. "We're adults and we're making our way through life. Sometimes you do that together and apart."

As well as opening up about her relationship with the 33-year-old, Hilary also told the publication about Luca. For the Cheaper by the Dozen actress, watching her little boy develop has been one of the biggest joys in her life.

'He definitely has a strong personality! He's talking a lot and trying to put two words together, which is kind of a big deal since he's two,' she revealed. 'I would say 'spirited' is a great word [to describe him]. For the most part he has a really great demeanour. He loves to share and he's a kind kid."

Pink pregnant?

Pink pregnant?

Pink is allegedly pregnant with her second child according to reports.

The singer already has one daughter, two-year-old Willow, with husband Carey Hart. But the US edition of OK!

Magazine is reporting that the Just Give Me a Reason singer is expecting a little brother or sister for her.

'It's the perfect time for another one,' a source told the publication.

However when the MailOnline contacted Pink's rep following the report, she said she doesn't comment on the singers personal life.

The 34-year-old has said in the past that she would like five children. According to OK! Pink's 39-year-old husband made it apparent that their family would soon be expanding.

'They were cuddling and he kept rubbing her tummy,' the source said. 'She was quick to move his hand away in case anyone saw. But it was pretty obvious.'

It wouldn't be a surprise if Pink, real name Alecia Beth Moore, was keeping her pregnancy news quiet for as long as possible considering she has suffered a miscarriage in the past. In 2010 she told Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show that she had a failed pregnancy before she became pregnant with Willow.

''[I] was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you,' she revealed to the host at the time.

Pink and Carey got married in Costa Rica in January 2006 before separating in February 2008. But they reunited two years later and Willow arrived in June 2011.

The So What singer has taken to motherhood like a duck to water and shared her love for her daughter with Billboard magazine in December last year.

'It's nuts,' she said. 'Willow is so much fun. She just changed everything.'

Kim Kardashian clears up wedding rumours

Kim Kardashian clears up wedding rumours

Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West will not be filmed for her family's reality show.

The 33-year-old took to her Twitter account on Wednesday to clear up some of the speculation surrounding her nuptials that will take place later this month. The first thing she clarified is the status of their relationship.

'Seeing so many different reports not gonna start disputing them all but a few I want to straighten out...' she wrote to her 21.1 million followers. '1. We are not married yet!'

The next rumour she cleared up will shock many of her loyal fans who have watched her reality show since it began in 2007. Unlike her doomed 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, this walk down the aisle will not be televised.

'2. We are not filming our wedding for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. You will see everything leading up til & maybe even photos,' she added. 'As much as we would love to share these memories, privacy is our main priority.'

The star then moved on to wedding details, including her guest list and what she would be wearing. While some outlets have reported the ceremony and reception will be an over the top, extravagant affair, Kim revealed it will be anything but.

'3. No guest list has been released. Seeing fake ones. Especially not 1600 people invited like I just read. Its VERY small & intimate,' she wrote. '4. Seeing fake wedding dress pics of me. No one has seen my dress! Those photos are old or photo shopped.'

The mother-of-one signed off by reminding fans to ignore stories that don't come direct from her, Kanye or her family regarding her May 24 nuptials.

'That''s its! Unless you hear it from us please don''t believe nonsense!' she said.

McCarthy: Wahlberg's the love of my life

McCarthy: Wahlberg's the love of my life

Jenny McCarthy has called fiance Donnie Wahlberg 'the love of my life'.

The model-and-actress became engaged to the New Kids on the Block singer last month, announcing the news on The View, which she co-hosts. For the 41-year-old, their relationship is one of the things she is most thankful for in life.

'Someone said to me, ''You have to be so happy, everything''s going great.'' And it really is," she told Entertainment Tonight. "And I''ve really implemented this year those ''stop'' moments where I go, ''God, thank you so much for health - number one - my son, falling in love with the love of my life. I can''t even imagine living my life without him."

Donnie, 44, who was sat next to Jenny at the time, and was slightly taken aback by her declaration. He asked for a minute to gather himself before carrying on with the interview. 'Can I just sit on that for a moment?' he joked. 'I just want to feel it, I'm feeling the gratitude right now.'

The couple also opened up about their wedding plans, which are quite scarce at present. But despite the fact that Donnie has a reality show, Wahlburgers, the lovebirds know their nuptials will not be shown on the small screen.

'The revolution will not be televised, nor will this wedding I don''t think," Donnie said.

"We don''t know when. We''re kind of just floating in the ''I''m your fiance'' kind of fun in it," Jenny added. "There''s no rush. We''ve done it before. We know it will happen. I think it''s just a matter of our schedules."

The wedding will be the second marriage for both stars. Donnie was married for nine years to Kim Fey until 2008 while Jenny had a six year marriage to John Mallory Asher which ended in 2005.

Kim Kardashian: Racism is sickening

Kim Kardashian: Racism is sickening

Kim Kardashian is 'sickened' by racism.

The 33-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shares 11-month-old daughter North with her rapper fiancee Kanye West.

And Kim says bigotry has become more obvious to her since becoming a parent.

'To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought,' she wrote in essay On My Mind, which published on her Celebuzz blog Wednesday.

'It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else's battle. But recently, I've read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realise that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been.'

In February Kim is said to have stormed out of the Vienna Annual Opera Ball after a man in blackface pretending to be Kanye repeatedly harassed her throughout the party.

A month earlier in January, her soon-to-be husband became involved in an altercation with a man outside a Beverly Hills doctor's office after the teenager allegedly called the reality star a "b***h" and a "n****r lover".

Kim is disgusted by this type of behaviour and refuses to remain silent about it any longer.

'I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don't have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the colour of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation,' she explained.

'I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing.'

Simon Cowell: Jealousy is valuable

Simon Cowell: Jealousy is valuable

Simon Cowell thinks jealousy 'means you care'.

The 54-year-old X Factor creator welcomed son Eric with his partner Lauren Silverman on Valentine's Day.

Simon revealed he is somewhat of a green-eyed lover, but he believes it's a good idea to focus on what rivals are doing.

'It means you care. If you are not jealous of your competitors you are not going to win,' he revealed during an interview with hypnotist Paul McKenna on his new online programme.

'When I see a competing show doing well I feel physically sick. I don't like my friends to do well!'

February was a huge month for Simon, as in addition to becoming a father for the first time, his X Factor US series was cancelled and he returned to the UK version of the show as a judge.

The Syco music mogul loves judging talent, as it brings him back to his youth.

'Auditions for me are like going back to school - and the only way I got through school was being really badly behaved,' he said.

Among Simon''s many talent show successes are Brit boyband One Direction, who have become a global sensation.
He has recently spoke of his delight over the world's interest in his TV programmes, despite the fact X Factor USA was cancelled.

"To be honest, it only spurs us on harder," he reasoned to the British edition of OK! magazine previously.

"On the bright side, it does tell you that people are still interested in these shows, thank god."

VB and Eva Longoria 'grow apart'

VB and Eva Longoria 'grow apart'

Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria are reportedly not as close as they once were.

The fashion designer and former Desperate Housewives star were good friends, bonding after Victoria and her family moved to Los Angeles. At one time they were seen together a lot but it seems things have cooled, with Eva noticeably absent from Victoria''s recent 40th birthday party.

"When David and Vic first moved to America, Eva was so friendly and really helped them out. She introduced them to a lot of A-listers they might have struggled to meet without her," a source told British magazine Heat.

"Now, though, Victoria''s an internationally-respected fashion designer, she''s a star in her own right over in the States and they''re not as close, so Eva missed both her parties. Vic''s a big name now - she can invite whoever she wants."

Victoria''s birthday fell on April 17 and she celebrated with a low-key day in LA. She then had a big night out in London ten days later, with her former Spice Girls bandmates Mel C and Emma Bunton on hand to help. Her friends showed how much they appreciated her with presents including a painting worth £40,000 and a solid white gold iPad case.

Although the event was fun, Victoria''s husband David is said to be worried about her friendship with Eva. He understands people grow apart, but apparently still hopes they will get back on track.

"He knows Eva helped them out in LA and now that Victoria isn''t as close to her, he feels awkward," the source said.

CeeLo Green: Pharrell's chivalrous

CeeLo Green: Pharrell's chivalrous

CeeLo Green thinks Pharrell Williams releasing Happy is 'how it's meant to be'.

The 39-year-old singer-songwriter originally recorded the track, but didn't end up releasing it. Instead Pharrell put his vocals to it and scored one of the biggest hits of the year, but the former The Voice coach doesn't have a problem with how things turned out.

'I don't regret it,' he told TMZ. 'I think it's how it's meant to be.'

The 41-year-old Get Lucky singer first revealed the history of the track to Howard Stern on his radio show last week.

According to Pharrell, who co-wrote the song, CeeLo's team chose not to release the tune as they felt he should focus on his album.

'[CeeLo] wanted to do it . and he did do it,' he said during the radio show. 'He sounded amazing on it. I mean, he burns my version!'

But when TMZ relayed the compliment to CeeLo, the Forget You singer shook his head in bemusement. He went on to state he felt Pharrell was finally getting the credit he deserved with the success that came from the single.

Metronomy reveal animated video for 'Reservoir'

Metronomy reveal animated video for 'Reservoir'

Following the announcement of Metronomy's majestic new single 'Reservoir', the latest from the fourth studio album Love Letters, Joe Mount and co. present a visual feast of a video from director Daniel Brereton and his team of animators, which sees Joe and his band going on a curious journey that takes in Mount Rushmore and the British seaside, revisiting some classic moments from previous iconic Metronomy videos on the way. Brereton has previously Directed music videos for Metronomy, Erol Alkan, Connan Mockasin, Kindness, Django Django amongst others.

A song about friendship (lyrically inspired by an underground reservoir near to Joe Mount's childhood home) 'Reservoir' is about old friends who drift apart, but who can always pick up where they left off each time they see one another. The song bridges the gap between the old sound of The English Riviera and Love Letters. Fans of previous dancefloor songs such as the more up-tempo 'The Bay' and 'The Look' will be pleased with the oh-so-distinctive British seaside organ sound Mount has been using in his work for years. complete with ear worm pop melody, lovelorn lyrics and erupting chorus - this is a Metronomy love song at its most euphoric.

A special remix of the track by Stuart Price, also known as Jacques Le Cont, will be available June 2nd. After winning three Grammys and recently producing Pet Shop Boy's 'Electric', Price has adapted the melodic beats of 'Reservoir' to create a beefier dance tune.

In its first week, Love Letters entered the UK album charts at number 7 ' the band's highest entry to date and was also the third highest entry that week. Metronomy are due to headline Field Day on June 7th, Wilderness in August and will also play high up the bill at Glastonbury 2014.

JLo: Divorce was tremendous low

JLo: Divorce was tremendous low

Jennifer Lopez says she 'went through a tremendous low' after splitting from Marc Anthony.

The glamorous couple split in 2011 after seven years of marriage, with Marc filing divorce papers in April 2012.

Although Jennifer found the breakup painful, she eventually transformed her anguish into a positive mindset.

"I went through a tremendous low," she confessed to People magazine. "But I wouldn''t change anything [about my past] because it made me who I am."

Marc, 45, and Jennifer, 44, share six-year-old fraternal twins Max and Emme together.

And the singer-and-actress is grateful for how motherhood has helped her mature.

"I just feel like I went through a real growth spurt as a human being [when I became a mom],' she explained. "Having my babies allowed me to realise what real unconditional love was."

Jennifer has been married three times, but she isn't jaded at all about romance.

A few months after her split from Marc she began dating dancer Casper Smart and she uses wisdom from previous failed affairs to keep her love life fresh.

'As women we can sometimes give ourselves away,' Jennifer said.

"I was certainly guilty of that for some time. Now I realise I am good on my own, so now I can share my life with somebody."

Jennifer certainly has a busy year ahead, as she is releasing her eighth studio album A.K.A. this summer. The star is also wrapping production on forthcoming movies The Boy Next Door and Lila & Eve, which are both slated for a 2015 release in theatres.

LiLo 'wants to record with rapper'

LiLo 'wants to record with rapper'

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly on the lookout for a rapper to appear on new music she''s working on.

The flame haired actress is currently residing in London, with sources saying she''s keen to focus on laying down some tracks and is now on the hunt for a guest vocalist.

Lindsay''s already had a stab at being a pop star, with her 2005 single Confessions of a Broken Heart. Unfortunately it only charted at number 57 in the US, but Lindsay''s undeterred and is said to be pushing forward with new plans.

"Lindsay is staying in London and wants to record an album while she's here. She's been casting a net for collaborators and top of the list is a rapper to feature on her comeback single," an insider revealed to British newspaper The Sun.

'In between partying, she's taking the music seriously."

Lindsay attended last night''s Gala for Gabrielle''s Angels Foundation in the British capital, wearing a short green and blue Julien Macdonald cocktail dress that featured a plunging neckline.

Her hair was worn loose and her make-up kept simple. Gold jewellery and a pair of black towering heels completed the look.

Lindsay''s reportedly been trying her hardest to keep her London antics under wraps form mentor Oprah Winfrey. The chat show queen offered to help 27-year-old Lindsay after her latest stint in rehab last year, and even gave her a reality show on her OWN Network.

'Lindsay is desperate to keep up appearances and while she isn't behaving all that badly, she knows Oprah will be furious to see her leaving clubs at 4am. It goes against the image she is trying to portray and Oprah wants her to focus on becoming that happy, healthy person,' a source recently told British newspaper Mirror.

'Lindsay did everything in her power to stop Oprah finding out, including wrapping things around her face so she couldn't be recognised and claiming she was in NY.

Selena Gomez is thankful for break

Selena Gomez is thankful for break

Selena Gomez is taking a break.

The 21-year-old popstar has been turning her life around lately and is thought to have ended her on/off relationship with troublemaker Justin Bieber.

She took to Instagram to share a picture of a serene setting with palm trees and let fans know that she's having some time out.

"Instead, ill pray above for what I have. So thankful for a well deserved break. Thinking about all of you unconditionally. (sic)," she captioned the shot.

It's not the first time Selena has decided to step out of the limelight for a short while. In December last year she cancelled some of her Stars Dance Tour shows in favour of spending time with her family.

It was later announced that the star had checked into rehab for two weeks in January. It's unknown why she spent time at the facility, but her representative confirmed it wasn't for substance abuse.

Selena has reportedly overhauled her friendship circle recently and unfollowed everyone she had on Instagram, including Justin and her showbiz pals Kylie and Kendall Jenner. TMZ claims she felt the A-list siblings are "nothing but a toxic distraction".

The singer-and-actress also seems to be keen to change up her love life. She's been on and off with Justin, 20, since 2010, but lately she's been linked to 37-year-old Orlando Bloom.

Orlando split from wife Miranda Kerr last year, who was thought to have got friendly with Justin at 2012's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

'Her friends are pushing her to start dating. She really needs to get Justin out of her system, that's why she's been hanging out with Orlando,' a source explained to
