Following the announcement of Metronomy's majestic new single 'Reservoir', the latest from the fourth studio album Love Letters, Joe Mount and co. present a visual feast of a video from director Daniel Brereton and his team of animators, which sees Joe and his band going on a curious journey that takes in Mount Rushmore and the British seaside, revisiting some classic moments from previous iconic Metronomy videos on the way. Brereton has previously Directed music videos for Metronomy, Erol Alkan, Connan Mockasin, Kindness, Django Django amongst others.

A song about friendship (lyrically inspired by an underground reservoir near to Joe Mount's childhood home) 'Reservoir' is about old friends who drift apart, but who can always pick up where they left off each time they see one another. The song bridges the gap between the old sound of The English Riviera and Love Letters. Fans of previous dancefloor songs such as the more up-tempo 'The Bay' and 'The Look' will be pleased with the oh-so-distinctive British seaside organ sound Mount has been using in his work for years. complete with ear worm pop melody, lovelorn lyrics and erupting chorus - this is a Metronomy love song at its most euphoric.

A special remix of the track by Stuart Price, also known as Jacques Le Cont, will be available June 2nd. After winning three Grammys and recently producing Pet Shop Boy's 'Electric', Price has adapted the melodic beats of 'Reservoir' to create a beefier dance tune.

In its first week, Love Letters entered the UK album charts at number 7 ' the band's highest entry to date and was also the third highest entry that week. Metronomy are due to headline Field Day on June 7th, Wilderness in August and will also play high up the bill at Glastonbury 2014.
