It seems like Selena Gomez became a completely different person, who keeps on betraying everyone she loves. Or is it better to say everyone she used to love? Since Selena reunited with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, her family and friends are deeply concerned that she is fully under Justin’s spell, simply letting him to have absolute control over her.
The couple used to fight and disagree about everything and Gomez did not even think about letting Bieber push her around. “It now looks like Selena is not standing up for herself and her beliefs that much anymore. She is not challenging anything Justin says and is acting quite brainwashed,” a source told Radar Online. He added, that whatever Justin did to keep Selena from moving on from their relationship, worked slightly too well, since she is now an entirely different person. Gomez seems to be like a robot, which is completely under Bieber’s influence. The couple now looks more in love than ever.
Reportedly, Selena’s parents and friends tried very hard to keep her from renewing the relationship with Justin, but apparently whatever they said, felt on deaf ears. Not only that Selena Gomez did not listen to anything they had to say, she betrayed some of the people she loves the most. First on the list were her parents. The superstar singer did not only surprise her fans when she fired them as her managers, she also surprised her mother Mandy and stepfather Brian. Selena’s mother told later, that until the story came out in the media, she received no warning about getting the axe from her beloved daughter. She was having a really hard time to process the fact that she is no longer her daughter’s manager, because she and her husband held that position since Selena’s big break at Disney. What kind of daughter does that to the two people who helped her through everything and who stood by her side all the time? What reason could she possibly have to do something like that? It is well-known that Gomez loves her parents and has always had a good relationship with them. Remember how devastated she was when her mother miscarried in 2011? The truth is that family is important. No matter what happens, parents are always there to help out and to provide a shoulder to cry on. Boyfriends come and go, but family remains forever. No matter what the official statement claims, one big question still remains. Did Selena fire her parents because they opposed her relationship with Bieber?
Brainwashed is a pretty strong word, nevertheless, the truth is that Selena has been acting completely differently since she renewed her relationship with Justin. After she fired her parents, her best friend Taylor Swift was the next person she betrayed. It looks like Gomez still holds a grudge against Taylor for the way she reacted to her renewed romance with Justin. Apparently, Selena traded her former friend for Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Since the three of them shared the good life at the Coachella, where they were literally inseparable, Selena might as well be labeled as the third Jenner sister. Even though she knows that Taylor is not going to be happy about her new friends, Gomez does not care at all and is letting her former best friend know that she will not be controlled by anyone anymore. Considering the fact that Kendall dated Swift’s ex boyfriend, Harry Styles, for a while, it is quite safe to say that Selena could not get friends who are so opposite from Taylor.
Since Selena has been acting differently for a while now, it is impossible to know what she will do next. One thing is for sure. Selena Gomez betrayed some people she loves the most, even though everyone just wanted what is best for her. Yes, she is a big girl who has every right to live her life the way she wants, but the last time Selena was with Justin, she ended up in rehab. There is no way of telling what will happen this time, but it is just a matter of time before she breaks down again, since she previously showed an inability to cope with problems and had to go to rehab due to her emotional issues. Regardless of the fact that she loves Justin very much, Selena should start thinking with her own head, or she will slowly lose everyone who are still by her side.
